adding collection

hi i now we all collect american girl dolls and accssorys but i was wondering what do you guys have in them and what do you hope to put in your collection

My doll list is in my signature but my daughters also have dolls. They are Marisol, AGT 24, Jess, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Felicity. We have complete collections for the limited edition dolls but I hope to add to Kit's collection as well. So far, I only have a couple of outfits.

I have all the historicals, Jess, and AGT #21. I don't plan on adding any more dolls unless they release a new historical or I can manage to get the AGT with long black hair/no bangs/fair skin/brown eyes but with *blue* eyes.

Kirsten has her complete collection- she is my oldest doll and I've been collecting for her since the company began.

Felicity has much of her collection (including retired stuff)- I plan to add her new tea set, Baby Polly, and Patriot. And perhaps her table and chairs and E's bed if I have room one day. I will not be going for a complete collection for her since I don't like most of the new stuff and I won't buy stuff I don't like.

Josefina- mostly done with her collection, and plan to finish it including retired items. Though the piano will cost me a fortune one day.

Addy- mostly done with her collection, I might finish it one day. I have most of the retired items but have to think about if I want the retired sets I don't have and am not thrilled about, like the bandbox.

Kit- have about 1/3 or so of her collection and plan to finish it. It's so cute, and so far I've kept ahead of the retirements, so it's not as pricey to finish as the other girls.

Molly- I only collect some of the stuff for my Jess doll, who is my WWII girl. My Molly doll plays Lisbeth.

Samantha- I'm nearly done with the stuff I want. There's a lot of her collection that's just too pink and girly for me.

AGT- I just buy what I like.

Jess- I might buy her PJs and will buy her meet accessories, but that's it. My Jess is my WWII doll, so her stuff is used by Emma, my AGT.

Kaya- Just got started on her collection, but plan to complete it one day. I love it all!

I don't really collect by doll, ie collect all the things from one girl's collection, except for the LE's. I have all of Lindsey's things and everything for Kailey except her towel. (My sister got Marisol, so I don't have any of her stuff.) I just go with what I like. I prefer the today outfits, but the historical ones are so beautiful as well, so I mix and match them. For example, right now Kira (Kirsten) is in Josefina's blue school skirt, the purple tankini top, Marisol's wrap sweater, Molly's seashell necklace and pink sandals from the Valentine's Day today outfit a few years ago. I do have a lot of Josefina things - everything from her first three stories and her birthday outfit/accessories - but mostly I just buy whatever suits my fancy. I don't really have any of the furniture since my grandfather makes doll furniture for me. You can see my dolls through the link on my signature. If you're new to collecting, I'd suggest starting with a historical doll.
Edit: I hope to add AGT 23 to my collection, as well as Kit's typewriter and Lissie's school outfit.

I also buy what I like. I have Felicity, Kirsten, AGT 24 (Susie Mae), Kaya, Hannah (a Bitty) and my mom has Samantha (well- Sam will belong to her in a couple weeks). I have felicity's Noah's Ark, her Christmas gown and her birthday gown; Kirsten's school dress; meet accessories for all my historicals, and I Sam came in her birthday dress from ebay. I plan on getting some more AGT things and the rest of Kirsten's school collection as well as some outfits for Hannah but I buy what I think looks good or what interests me.
